Hey yall! It’s been a minute so allow me to reintroduce myself. I’m Dr. Shinika your favorite strategy guru and I’m so excited to update you on what’s been happening. What you may or may not know is that this past March, I celebrated my 40^th birthday which was a phenomenal occasion, but I also realized I was burnt out and ready to make some changes in my business. It’s something about turning 40 that helps you see things really clearly and also identify what you don’t want to do.

So essentially, I decided to burn down my entire business model and rebuild from the ground up. The beauty here is that there is power in the pivot. It makes absolutely no sense to continue moving forward with a plan that isn’t working. After launching what I thought was a great product earlier this year that flopped, I realized that my messaging was off, and my services were not resonating with my ideal clients or target audience. A quick sidebar is that failure is where we find ourselves and learn the best lessons. If you’re not trying new things, you will never know what works.

I was struggling with articulating what I did because I had so many talents that I was trying to highlight at one time. I knew that I didn’t want to niche down because my expertise was the niche. Finally, I realized that strategy was at the core of what I did whether it was in leadership, business, or philanthropy. Having this epiphany is where the Strategy Lab was born, a creative space that blends my expertise in leadership, philanthropy, business, and nonprofit management to develop tools and resources that stem from lived experience and cultural inclusion. The Strategy Lab is where breakthroughs happen, and transformation occurs. It is my creative space to help you tap into your natural talents and align in purpose to lead with confidence and clarity.

I’m elated to share my creative vision with you as we launch our rebranded strategies and services for The McKiever Group Creative Company. We are officially open for business and accepting new clients. We just rolled out our brand-new website, which is amazing and captures exactly who we are and what we do.
